🚀 Consistency vs Intensity
Sunday Scoop #53 - This week, we quickly examine some data collected from my personal experience re-learning Python from scratch - courtesy of WakaTime.
Hey friends,
For the past 2 weeks or so, I’ve been re-learning Python from scratch - just to refresh my memory on everything that I’ve learnt before, as well as ensure that I cover all the Python basics.
I’ve been using the Atom text editor (highly, highly recommended) and following the book Python Crash Course (Full review coming soon!).
I then installed the WakaTime package, which automatically tracks the amount of time I spend each day on Atom, the language I code in, and the projects I’m working on.
Below is a screenshot of my time distribution in WakaTime.
As you can see, there were days I worked up to 5 hours, and there were days I did no work at all. (Although the big gap towards the end was mainly because I was attending Online Orientation)
I had intense days, but no consistent weeks.
Here is a tweet from almost exactly 1 year ago that I think would act as a good wake-up call for myself as I continue learning Python.
Nothing much to share this week except for this quick realization. Will probably be writing a longer issue next week!
I hope that everything is well with you and you are genuinely happy.
Have a productive week ahead, my friends.
Jia Shing.
